How much DA will increase
The dearness allowance of the employees is increased on the basis of inflation. The higher the inflation, the higher the dearness allowance increases. In this, retail inflation of industry workers is seen. Considering this inflation, this time inflation should increase by 4.23 percent. But the government increases DA in round figures. In such a situation, this time the DA of central government employees can increase by 4 percent.
How much salary will increase
At present the dearness allowance of central employees is 38 per cent. After the 4 per cent increase in DA, it will increase to 42 per cent. If the basic salary of a central employee is Rs 18,000 a month now, then his DA becomes Rs 6,840. After the increase of 4 per cent, this DA will be Rs 7,560. In this way, there will be an increase of Rs 720 in the basic salary. This increase in DA will be applicable from January 1, 2023.
