Just before Diwali, the Union Cabinet gave a gift to the employees by increasing the dearness allowance by 3 percent. This dearness allowance has been implemented from July 1. Earlier, DA money was being received at the rate of 28 percent. Now another Diwali gift (Diwali gift for CG employees) is going to be in his name. With the increase in dearness allowance for July 2021, arrears will also be available. Central employees will also be paid arrears along with 31 per cent DA.
Increased DA and arrears money will come in October
Central government employees will start getting the benefit of increased DA from October. They will be paid at the rate of 31 per cent. According to Union Minister Anurag Thakur, 31 percent Dearness allowance has been implemented from July 1. Meaning the central worker will get 31 percent DA money from July 1. Meaning money for 3 months arrears (DA Arrear news) will also be given to them. In the month of July, August, September, money has been received at the rate of 28 percent. At the same time, now money will come in October salary with 31 percent DA and 3 months arrears will also be paid.
More than 1 crore central employees and pensioners will get benefit
According to Union Minister Anurag Thakur, the payment of 31 percent DA and arrears will cost the exchequer Rs 9488.74 crore. In January 2020, dearness allowance was increased by 4 percent. Then in June 2020 there was an increase of 3 per cent and in January 2021 it increased by 4 per cent. However, due to Corona, the government had frozen the increase of three dearness allowances from January 2020 to June 2021. In July, the government released it simultaneously at the rate of 28 per cent. This was increased by 11 percent.
Salary increased by Rs 6480
Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) of central employees is increased twice a year. If the basic salary of an employee is Rs 18 thousand, then he is getting Rs 5,040 as dearness allowance now. This amount is 28 percent of the basic salary. After 3% increase in DA, the employee will get Rs 5,580 as DA. Meaning it will increase by Rs 540. With the increase in basic pay, the total amount of dearness allowance will also increase. If we look at the annual basis, then the salary will increase by Rs 6480.
DA increased for the second time in a year
Due to Coronavirus pandemic, dearness allowance was frozen in the month of May 2020. But, after that it was restored in July 2021. In July, the government had approved an increase of 11 per cent DA to 28 per cent. After this, again dearness allowance (DA kab milega) for July 2021 has been approved in October. In this way it reached 31 percent. However, the DA arrears of 18 months have not been paid nor has any final decision been taken on it so far. The government has already made it clear that no consideration has been given to the arrears of 18 months.
