7th Pay Commission: Great news for employees! DA increased by 3% before Holi, the government announced

7th Pay Commission update: Himachal government has announced to give a big gift to its government employees. The DA of government employees has been increased by 3% (Dearness Allowance). New pay scales have been implemented for government employees to ensure benefits of Rs 6000 crore to 2.25 lakh employees.


New Delhi: 7th Pay Commission update: There is great news for government employees. The government has increased the DA of the employees by 3%. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has announced 31 percent Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees in the year of state assembly elections. The announcement was made at the Himachal Pradesh State Foundation Day celebrations.

Great gift to the employees!
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said, ‘Recently new pay scales have been implemented for the state government employees to ensure benefits of Rs 6000 crore to 2.25 lakh employees. But it was felt that there are some disparities in the new pay scales of some categories. The employees will be given a third option in addition to the two options already given. The CM has announced a third option for the employees in addition to the multiples of 2.25 and 2.59. The third option would be a direct hike of 15%.

Dearness Allowance hiked by 3%
Jai Ram Thakur announced that pensioners of the state government would also be given pension according to the new pay scales of the Punjab government. With this, 1.75 lakh pensioners will be given financial benefits of about Rs 2000 crore. Let us tell you that the CM announced to give three percent additional dearness allowance (DA Hike) to the employees. That is, now on the lines of the IAS officers of the state, the employees will also get 31 percent DA. 500 crore will be spent from the government exchequer on this.

Annual income limit also increased
After the DA hike, now the DA of the employees has been increased from 28 per cent to 31 per cent. Along with this, the limit of annual income has been increased from Rs 35000 to Rs 50000 to take advantage of various welfare schemes and pension. CM Jairam said, ‘Police constables appointed after the year 2015 will be eligible for higher pay scale on the lines of other categories of employees. All constables eligible for higher pay scale will be given its benefit with immediate effect. Employees appointed on contract in 2015 will be eligible for higher pay scale from 2020. At the same time, the period of regularization of contract workers is two years. Employees get higher pay band only after two years of regularization. The same rule will apply to constables as well.

Central government can also increase
On the other hand, the central government can also once again increase the DA of central employees. If we look at the data of the AICPI index, till December 2021, the dearness allowance has gone up to 34 percent. That is, according to this, there has been an increase of 2 percent in it. By December 2021, if the CPI (IW) figure is 125, then 3 percent increase in dearness allowance is certain. That is, the total DA will increase by 3% to 34 percent. It will be paid from January 2022 and the salary of central employees will increase.
