7th Pay Commission: Increase in dearness allowance of central employees, know – when will the revised rates be effective?

7th Pay Commission: Big update on DA arrears of 18 months, money will come in account in 8 installments

7th Pay Commission: The increase in dearness allowance of central employees has been implemented from January 1, 2022. Dearness allowance and dearness relief have been increased by 3 percent. The ministry said that this increase is as per the accepted formula, which is based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.


7th Pay Commission: Dearness Allowance (DA) of Central Government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners has been increased from 3 per cent to 34 per cent of basic pay with effect from January 1, 2022. This will benefit about 47.68 lakh central government employees and 68.62 lakh pensioners.

The ministry said that this increase is as per the accepted formula, which is based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

Increase in DR to benefit pensioners

  1. Citizens including Central Government Pensioners/Family Pensioners of Central Government. Pensioners absorbed in PSUs/Autonomous Bodies in respect of whom orders have been issued vide this Department’s O.M. Full pension can be restored after termination.
  2. Armed Forces pensioners and civilian pensioners were paid from Defense Service estimates.
  3. All India Service Pensioners
  4. Railway Pensioners/Family Pensioners
  5. Pensioners receiving provisional pension
  6. Burma Civil Pensioners/Family Pensioners and Pensioners/Families of Government Pensioners displaced from Burma/Pakistan, in respect of whom orders have been issued vide this Department’s OM No.23/3/2008-P&PW(B) dated 1 1.09 Huh.
