According to a memorandum running on WhatsApp for a few days, the employees are being given dearness allowance from July 1. It has been claimed that the dearness allowance of the employees has been increased by 4%. It has been increased from 34 per cent to 38 per cent. But, this notification (OM) is false. At present, the Finance Ministry has not issued any such official note. The government agency PIB has clarified in the fact check that this memorandum is false. The Department of Expenditure has not issued any such Office Memorandum. Do not take such notifications as true.
Not yet, dearness allowance will increase in September
At the same time, the central employees are waiting for the dearness allowance to increase. A decision on his dearness allowance is to be taken in September. However, it will be considered applicable from July itself. But, the notification for this will be issued only in September. It will be approved in the first cabinet meeting. Then its information will be sent through official note. Sources associated with the DoPT department of the Ministry of Finance told Zee Business, it can be approved in the cabinet meeting on September 28. It can also be paid with the salary of September.

4% dearness allowance hike is confirmed!
However, it is confirmed that there is going to be an increase of 4 percent in dearness allowance. Because, the half yearly data of industrial inflation has confirmed this. In the first half of this year, the figure stood at 129.2. According to experts, there was a possibility of further increase in dearness allowance if it is 130, but at 129.2, it will increase by at least 4 percent. After increasing this, it will become 38 percent. In this, apart from increasing the dearness allowance of the employees, there will also be an increase in the dearness relief of the pensioners.
When will the money of 38% DA come?
After increasing the dearness allowance by 4 percent, the total dearness allowance of central employees will reach 38%. The new dearness allowance will be paid in the salary of September 2022. In this, the money for the arrears of two months of July and August will also come. The new dearness allowance will be considered as applicable from July 1, 2022. Overall, the government will pay it at the time of Navratri. This will bring big money in the pockets of the employees.
What will be the difference in salary?
The minimum basic salary in 7th Pay Commission is Rs 18,000 and at the level of Cabinet Secretary is Rs 56900. According to 38 percent, on the basic salary of Rs 18000, the total increase in annual DA will be available for Rs 6840. Total DA will increase by Rs 720 per month. At the maximum basic salary bracket of Rs 56,900, the total increase in annual dearness allowance will be Rs 27,312. Those in this salary bracket will get Rs 2276 more as compared to 34%.
