New Delhi: There Is Good News For Central Employees. Central Employees Have Started Getting Salary On The Basis Of Increase In Dearness Allowance (DA) And Dearness Relief (DR) In The Month Of July. In Fact, The Central Government Has Increased The Dearness Allowance For Central Government Employees To 28 Percent With Effect From July 1. The Union Cabinet Had Approved An 11 Per Cent Hike In Dearness Allowance (DA) And Dearness Relief (DR) For Central Government Employees And Pensioners With Effect From July 1, Benefiting Over 48 Lakh Central Government Employees And 65 Lakh Pensioners. Happened. Now The New Rate Of DA Has Increased From 17 Percent To 28 Percent.

With The Increase In DA, The House Rent Allowance (HRA) Given To The Central Employees Has Also Been Revised. The Government Has Increased The HRA To 27 Percent. After The Dearness Allowance, Now The Increase In The House Rent Allowance (HRA) Has Become A Problem For The Central Employees.





The HRA Has Been Increased By 1-3 Per Cent For Different Categories. According To The Order Of The Ministry Of Finance, Now Central Employees Will Get 27 Percent, 18 Percent And 9 Percent House Rent Allowance According To Their City. At Present, It Is 24 Per Cent, 16 Per Cent And 8 Per Cent For All The Three Classes. The Minimum House Rent Allowance For All The Three Categories Will Be Rs 5400, 3600 And Rs 1800.

This Is How HRA Calculation Is Done

According To The Notification Of DoPT, Revision In House Rent Allowance (HRA) For Central Employees Has Been Done On The Basis Of Dearness Allowance Only. The Government Has Now Started Including Other Central Employees Also In The Increased HRA. All The Employees Have Started Getting The Benefit Of Increased HRA.




According To The 7th Pay Matrix, The Maximum Basic Salary Of Central Employees Is Rs 56000 Per Month, Then How Much HRA Will Be Made At The Rate Of 27 Percent, It Can Be Understood By Simple Calculation.

Now HRA = Rs 56000 X 27/100 = Rs 15120 Per Month

First HRA = Rs.56000 X 24/100 = Rs.13440 Per Month
