7th Pay Commission: There is good news for pensioners across the country. The Defense Ministry has decided to increase the amount of family pension of central employees working in the defense sector. The Ministry of Defense has decided to increase the pension according to the Seventh Pay Commission (7th Pay Commission). This will increase the maximum limit of pension of the employees.
According to the Defense Ministry, the pension payment of employees engaged in government service under the Seventh Pay Commission will be increased to Rs 2,50,000 per month. That is, now the families of pensioners will be able to get a maximum pension of up to Rs 2.5 lakh. Now the children or dependents of the employees working in the defense sector will get the increased family pension according to the 7th Pay Commission. The benefit of this amendment will be given to those children whose parents are both employees of the Ministry of Defense.
These will be the new rules
If both the parents of the children in a family are central employees, then they will be given a family pension of Rs 1.25 lakh every month.
In some cases, 30 percent of the salary of 2.5 lakhs i.e. 75000 rupees will be given as family pension to the children.
The benefit of the new rule will be given to those children whose parents are both employees of the Ministry of Defense.
