7th Pay Commission latest news: Diwali 2021 is going to be good for central employees. Recently, the Modi government has increased the DA of 3 percent to 31 percent.
This Dearness allowance (DA) will be considered applicable from July 1, 2021. That is, central employees will also get 3 months arrears. The employees will also get the arrears for the months of July, August, September in the salary of October.
The cabinet had announced last week to increase the dearness allowance by 3 percent. The Finance Ministry on Tuesday increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) for central government employees from 28% to 31% of the basic pay with effect from July 1, 2021. With the increase in dearness allowance for July 2021, arrears will also be available. Central employees will also be paid arrears along with 31 per cent DA.
Salary will increase this much in October
DA will increase this much on 56900 basic salary
If the basic salary of the employee is Rs 56900, then under the new dearness allowance i.e. 31 percent, the allowance will be Rs 17639 per month, while the rate of 28 percent will get Rs 15932 per month. That is, the total dearness allowance will increase by Rs 1707 per month. That is, the total increase in salary will be Rs 20484 annually. If arrears for 3 months are received in the month of October, then Rs 52,917 will also come for arrears. If the arrears for the month of October are combined, the DA for 4 months will come to Rs 70,556.
DA will increase this much on 18000 basic salary
Suppose if your basic salary is Rs 18,000. He is getting DA of Rs 5030 now. At present DA is 28% of the basic salary. Now it has increased to 3 percent. That is, now DA will be available at the rate of 31 percent. Now at the rate of 31 per cent, Rs 5,580 will be available. That is, if the basic salary of the employees is Rs 18000, there will be an increase of Rs 540 in DA. That is, the arrears of three months will come to Rs 1,620.
Higher your basic salary, higher will be the DA. Dearness Allowance will be 31% of Basic Pay and will increase accordingly.
The new hike has been done a few days before Diwali. So that, more than 47 lakh employees and 68.62 lakh pensioners can get the benefit. The government said in a statement that the expenditure on the exchequer will increase by Rs 9,488.70 crore per annum on account of both dearness allowance and dearness relief. The government had stopped all such hikes last year as the coronavirus was affecting its revenue.
DA increased for the second time in a year
The central government had increased the DA rate from 17 per cent to 28 per cent in July this year. Now with an increase of 3 percent, the DA rate has been increased to 31 percent. The government has increased DA for the second time.
