Dearness allowance of government employees may increase by 3 percent, this decision of Modi government will benefit more than 50 lakh government employees
7th pay commission : Modi government can give good news to central government employees and pensioners before Holi. Dearness Allowance (DA) of government employees may increase by 3 percent. A cabinet meeting is to be held on March 16, after which an announcement to increase DA can be made. Government employees and pensioners will get Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) and Dearness Relief (DR Hike) at the rate of 34 percent. Right now this rate is 31 percent. This decision of the Modi government will benefit more than 50 lakh government employees and more than 65 lakh pensioners.
Will be announced before Holi
A cabinet meeting is to be held on March 16 in which a decision can be taken on increasing the dearness allowance and dearness relief of the employees. Modi government can announce to increase DA and DR on March 16. According to the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission, the government calculates DA on the basic salary. Right now the government is not announcing the increase in DA due to the code of conduct for the elections. However, after the results of the elections on 10 March, the rules of the code of conduct will end, after which the government can announce.
It’s so DA now
At present, government employees get 31 percent DA. With the increase of 3 percent, the salary of government employees will increase up to a maximum of Rs 20,000 and a minimum of Rs 6480. DA of employees will increase to 34 percent. According to the data of AICPI (All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers), DA has reached 34.04% till December 2021. These figures are telling that this time dearness allowance will increase by 3 percent.
DA will increase this much on 18,000 basic pay
If the basic salary of the employee is Rs 18,000 per month. 6120 per month will be available on new DA (34%). Now getting Rs 5580 on DA being 31%. You will get Rs 540 per month in your monthly salary. That is, annually you will get Rs 6,480.
