7th Pay Commission DA Hike: The Central Government is soon preparing to announce an increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for Central Government employees and Dearness Relief (Dearness Relief) for pensioners under the 7th Pay Commission. According to media reports, the government can announce the increase in DA by Dussehra. So that, before Diwali, you can get increased DA in October salary. If reports are to be believed, a 4 percent increase in DA may be announced. However, the final decision is subject to government approval.
Dearness allowance will increase by 4% increase
If the government decides to increase DA by 4 percent, it will increase from the current 42 percent to 46 percent. However, there is a possibility that the government may increase DA by 3 percent, taking it to 45 percent. This increase will be considered effective from July 1, 2023. With this, employees will get DA arrears of 3 months from July to September. This announcement is likely to benefit 47 lakh employees and 68 lakh pensioners.
Salary will increase by this much in October
How much will the salary increase if the government increases DA by 4 percent? Most of the employees are busy doing these calculations. If the salary of an employee is Rs 50,000 per month and his basic salary is Rs 15,000. He currently gets Rs 6,300 as DA, which is 42 percent of the basic salary. If there is an increase of 4 percent in DA, then DA in salary will increase to Rs 6,900 per month. That means, the salary will increase by Rs 600 more. If someone’s salary is Rs 50,000 per month and his basic salary is Rs 15,000, then the salary will increase by Rs 600 per month.
The increase will be considered effective from July 1
This increased DA will be available from July 1. That is, if there is a monthly increase of Rs 600 in your salary, then 3 months DA arrears i.e. the pending DA from July to September will also be available in the salary. That means, if October’s DA is also added to the salary, the October salary will be Rs 2,400. Employees can get the benefit of DA before Diwali.
