The salary of the employees of Gujarat government for the month of September will increase. Apart from this, the pension of pensioners will also increase.



In fact, the Gujarat government had increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) by 11 per cent for its employees and pensioners from July 1. After this, the new rate of DA has increased from 17 percent of the basic pay to 28 percent. The increased amount of DA will be added to the salary of September.

At the same time, the arrears for the months of July and August will be given as arrears. The July dues will be received in October and the August dues in January next year. If we talk about pensioners, then they will be given dearness relief ie DR amount. There has also been an increase of 11 per cent in DR.

How many employees will benefit: About 9.61 lakh employees will benefit from this DA amendment. This hike will cost the state exchequer Rs 378 crore every month. Let us inform that in July, the Finance Ministry had issued an order to implement the decision of the cabinet to increase the dearness allowance for central government employees to 28 percent from July 1.


The cabinet had approved an increase of 11 per cent in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for central government employees and pensioners with effect from July 1. This is benefitting more than 48 lakh central government employees and 65 lakh pensioners.
