7th Pay Commission, Central Government pensioners: The pension and gratuity they receive are as important as their salary for government employees. It must be said that this is the most important financial assistance at the time of retirement. But now the order issued by the government has really worried the employees and pensioners.

There has been a significant improvement in the salaries and allowances of central employees after the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission. With this change, both employees and pensioners have seen a huge improvement in their financial situation.

Pension and gratuity are as important as salary for employees. They are a major financial support for them during retirement.

But the recent government order has really shocked the employees.

The government has now issued a new rule that central government employees in service will not get the benefits of pension and gratuity if they are negligent in their work. Moreover, if the employee is found to have committed a serious crime during his/her employment, he/she will lose these facilities i.e. gratuity and pension.

Based on this order, the central government has issued a strict warning to the employees. The employees will ignore this warning and will be really hurt.

The new rule is that if an employee ignores these rules or is negligent at work, he will not receive the benefits of pension and gratuity.

At this time, employees are waiting for the good news of the 8th Pay Commission. With the formation of the 8th Pay Commission, employees are expecting a huge increase in salaries and pensions. Therefore, employees should pay close attention to this new warning.

New order of the Central Government The government has recently issued a new notification under the Central Civil Services Pension Rules 2021. The notification has clarified that if an employee commits serious crimes during his service or is found guilty of them, he will not get the benefit of pension and gratuity. This order will be implemented not only for central employees but also for state government employees.

According to the notification, the right to withhold gratuity and pension shall be vested in the officers in the appointing authority of the employee concerned. The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has the right to withhold the pension and gratuity of an employee who retires from the Audit and Accounts Department. If an employee is found guilty in the course of service by the department or in a judicial inquiry, the matter shall be brought to the notice of the concerned authorities so that they may take appropriate action regarding the payment of pension and gratuity to the employee.

The central government has also clarified in a new order that if an employee, after retirement and receiving pension and gratuity, is found to have committed any wrongdoing during his service, the amount of pension or gratuity can be withdrawn in whole or in part.

Government employees should take this new order seriously and try to avoid any kind of lapse in their work, otherwise they may lose their pension and gratuity in the future.
