7th Pay Commission: Children’s education allowance is given to central employees by the Government of India under the seventh pay scale. In 1962, the Central Government started it in the name of Reimbursement of Tuition Fee, which later came to be known as Children’s Education Allowance. It may be noted that this allowance was further increased under the seventh pay scale and a sanction of Rs 2250 per child was given to the Children’s Education Allowance. Apart from this, Rs 6750 is available as hostel subsidy.
According to the new rules set by the Government of India, the Central employees get this benefit on two children, but such people can also get this benefit on three children, whose child was born as a result of the failure of the sterilization operation. However, only one child born after sterilization failed can be included in this scheme. If even after that a child is born, it will not get this benefit. Also, if an employee already has children and then twins are born, then the third child will get the benefit of the Children’s Education Allowance under this scheme.

With this, if the child is a disabled person, the allowance for that will be double that of normal children. However, this amount is received by the employees only at the end of the year and for this, the last session of the school has to show the certificate. Railway employees also get this allowance. Let us know that this allowance is available only for the children up to 12th standard.
These documents will be needed
If you look at the Children’s Education Allowance annually, it becomes around Rs 24750, while the hostel fee is Rs 74250. This decision was taken due to increase in children’s fees and increase in other expenses. The formula for children’s fee allowance was first implemented in the Sixth Pay Commission. To get this allowance, many documents are also not required. The certificate issued by the head of the institute is enough. In this certificate, it is certified that the child studied in this class in our institution last year.
