In fact, soon after the increase of 3% dearness allowance by the central government, a big announcement was also made by the state government.
In which the Nitish government had increased the DA of the state employees by 3 percent. At the same time, the DA of state workers was increased from 31% to 34%. In this matter, the department has issued a resolution-order on Saturday. Issuing the respective resolution, the Secretary of the department said that the calculation of dearness allowance will be done by marking 50 paise or more paise in full in the next rupee. Whereas in the calculation of the amount, less than 50 percent of the amount will be left out.
This proposal of the Finance Department has got the approval of the Cabinet. After which an additional burden of Rs 1133 crore is expected to be imposed on the state government annually. At the same time, state employees-pension workers will get the benefit of this increase from January 2022, while the amount of DA arrears of 3 months will also be paid in the account of state workers. In such a situation, the calculation of salary was also considered.
In fact, in the case of government servants, their DA will be paid on the basic pay, while the amount of DA increase will be paid to them on the basis of the basic pension of the pensioners. For example, the salary to be drawn from the pay level in the pay matrix i.e. basic pay, while the pensioners will be sent the amount of DA increase in their account on the basis of basic pension.
