According to media reports, after the 7th Pay Commission, now the 8th Pay Commission can be brought and it can be implemented from January 1, 2026. This will increase the basic salary, which will prove to be a big relief for the employees.

According to media reports, since the late former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had also indicated this in one of his speeches in Parliament in 2016, if sources are to be believed, the Modi government can consider it. With its implementation, the minimum salary of central employees from Level Matrix I can start from Rs 26,000. However, there has been no confirmation from the government yet.
