8th Pay Commission Update: After the approval of the 8th Pay Commission, along with the increase in DA, HRA and TA allowances of the central employees, there has been a facility of increase in salary. The Union Cabinet has released this formula of the Eighth Pay Commission for the benefit of central employees.

With the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission, the salary of central government employees and pensioners will increase. The new pay commission is expected to be implemented in 2026.

More than one crore families will get benefits

After the formation of the 8th Pay Commission (HRA), the families of more than 50 lakh central government employees and about 65 lakh pensioners will get direct benefit. That is, the families of more than one crore central serving and retired employees will get the benefit. Union Cabinet Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the central government is committed to implement it on time. (8th pay commission Update)

Fitment factor will be used in income revision

Fitment factor is important for changing the income of central employees. It is expected that the fitment factor will increase significantly. So far, experts have made three estimates on the fitment factor: one 1.92, second 2.08 and third 2.86. This is the reason why the salary increase of the Eighth Pay Commission should also be determined on this basis. HRSA and DA will depend on the basic salary.

There will be a bumper increase in basic salary

In the 7th Pay Commission, a fitment benefit similar to 2.57 was recommended for central government employees. The basic salary of the employees increased from Rs 7,000 to Rs 18,000. At the same time, if the fitment factor can increase to 2.86, then the minimum basic salary will increase from 18 thousand to 51480.

Now what is the fitment factor (8th pay commission HRA)? Nirmankarak is a coefficient. In this, basic salary and pension are multiplied. It determines the basic salary. The fitment factor is important in the increase. The commission reviews the pay scale and allowances and creates a multiplier

HRA will increase by this much

HRA is expected in the 8th Pay Commission. In the 7th Pay Commission, the house rent allowance (HRA) to the employees was determined under X, Y, & D. The house rent is a percentage of the basic salary per month. It was 24% in X city, 16% in Y city and 8% in JD city. It was also decided that the X category will get Rs 5400, Y category Rs 3600 and Z category Rs 1800 at least.

Rates increased due to inflation

The 7th Pay Commission (8th Pay Commission) had also determined that the rates of HRA will become 27%, 18% and 9% for X, Y and Z class cities when dearness allowance (DA) exceeds 25%. At present, DA is 56%, while HRA is thirty, twenty and ten percent. At present, the fitment of 2.86 is applicable, so we know how much increase will be given in HRA in all percentages.

Now the central employees’ organizations are demanding to increase the HRA. In such a situation, there will be a big increase in the basic salary (8th pay commission HRA) if the government maintains the same percentage as at present.
