8th Pay Commission: In order to increase the salary and allowances of central employees, media reporters were constantly asking questions whether the government is considering the next pay commission or not? Now the Modi government itself has cleared the confusion on this matter.

8th Pay Commission latest news: Whether the 8th Pay Commission will come for central employees or not. There are different opinions about this and there was constant discussion that the government should announce about it. But, the Modi government has cleared all the confusion on this. Giving a big update to the government employees, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Choudhary said – At present, there is no thought on the 8th Pay Commission. No such matter is pending.

Come 8th pay commission!
Pankaj Choudhary was replying to a question whether it is true that the government is not contemplating the formation of the 8th Pay Commission to revise the salary, allowances and pension of central government employees and pensioners. Chaudhary made it clear that at present no such case is under consideration. He said- As per the recommendation of the Seventh Pay Commission, there should not be a need to constitute another Pay Commission to review the salaries, allowances and pensions paid to the Central Government employees and pensioners. But, there is no such idea as of now.

New pay metrics to be reviewed
Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said that work should be done on a new system for review and revision of pay matrix. He did not deny that the 8th Pay Commission would not come. But, the government is working on such a system so that the salary of the employees increases on the basis of their performance linked increment. He said that all allowances and salary can be reviewed on the basis of Aykroyd formula. With this, one can make changes keeping in mind the prices of the things of the needs of the employees. It is reviewed by the Labor Bureau from time to time. It has been suggested that this metrics should be revised from time to time without the need for the next pay commission.

‘Automatic Pay Revision System’
According to the information received by Zee Business, the government is working in this direction to make such a system for 68 lakh central employees and 52 lakh pensioners, in which there will be automatic revision in salary if DA is more than 50 percent. For this an ‘automatic pay revision system’ can be made.

Which employees will get the benefit?
According to a finance ministry official, Arun Jaitley wanted that the mid-level employees as well as the low-level employees should get a pay hike. According to the official, given the long-standing trend of income polarization following the new formula and the shrinking mid-level in central government departments, it seems likely that broad mid-level employees will be able to move forward. The level will not see much growth. However, lower level employees may see an advantage in this.

How much benefit will you get?
The minimum salary of a central employee with pay level matrix 1 to 5 can be between 21 thousand. If you see the trend of Pay Commission, it is implemented every 8-10 years. But, a decision on this can be taken after the year 2024, in which the new formula can be considered. According to government employees, the salary should be about three times. The increase in 7th Pay commission was the least.
