8th pay commission: Salary structure of employees will change when 1 to 6 levels are merged, these employees will get more benefits

8th pay commission: The central government can constitute the 8th pay commission by April. After this, the commission will make a proposal for increase in salary (8th pay commission) by revising the salary keeping in view the inflation in the country, basic needs of the employees and other factors. Then this proposal will go to the government and the government will review it and implement the revised salary. It is being speculated that this process will take a year.

8th CPC level merger: A new and big update has come out on the 8th Pay Commission for central employees. Central employees are expected to get other benefits along with the gift of salary hike.

Central government employees currently get salary hike according to their level. There are different posts at different levels. Basic salary is given level wise in these posts. Currently, the minimum basic salary of level one employees is Rs 18000.

There are different salaries from level 1 to 18

Currently, employees are getting salary as per the recommendations of 7th Pay Commission. Currently, levels from level 1 to level 18 are included. In the 7th Pay Commission, the minimum monthly salary of level 1 employees was fixed at Rs 18,000. Whereas, the maximum salary at level 18 has been fixed at Rs 2,50,000 per month. In the 8th Pay Commission (8th pay commission level merge), levels 1 to 6 can be merged. In such a situation, the salary structure of the employees will also change.

Level merge with employee pay scale

In the 8th Pay Commission, the way for salary hike for central employees has been cleared. At the same time, now JCM Staff Side has placed recommendations for level merger in front of the government for central employees. Employees are hopeful that the government will approve their recommendations and the formula of level merger will benefit the employees more. This will see significant changes in the salary structure, allowances and benefits for employees and pensioners.

There are discrepancies in salary structures

The JCM Staff Side has submitted its recommendations for the Term of Reference of the 8th Central Pay Commission (8th CPC). The JCM Staff Side has talked about significant changes in the pay structure, allowances and benefits for government employees and pensioners. It has talked about merging some pay scales from 1 to 6 to remove anomalies to streamline the major pay structures.

This is how the level merge will be done

NC-JCM Staff Side Secretary Shiv Gopal Mishra said that the major recommendation of the Staff Side in the recommendations of the Term of Reference is to merge the pay scales for government employees falling under 1-6 levels. This has been done for equal remuneration and better career advancement to the employees. In the 8th Pay Commission, there is a demand for merging Level 1 and Level 2, merging Level 3 and Level 4, merging Level 5 and Level 6.

Level one, three and five employees will get more benefits

This level will enhance employee progress by promoting financial growth. A level 1 employee currently gets a basic salary of Rs 18,000. While a level 2 employee gets Rs 19,900. Merging these two levels will benefit the level 1 employee more. If the amendment is made, the new structure will start from one. Similarly, level three and five will also get more benefits. Because the revised salary structure will start from one.

There will be a bumper increase in salary

The fitment factor is an important tool for calculating the salary hike after the 8th Pay Commission. If the fitment factor remains 2.86, then with the expected fitment factor, the salary of a level one employee was to be revised from Rs 18000 to Rs 51,480, but with the new structure, the level one employee can get the benefit of level two, that is, the salary will increase from Rs 19,900 to Rs 56914.

Similarly, after merging level 3 and level 4 employees, the revised salary will be Rs 72,930. Whereas, for level 5 and 6 employees, the salary can reach Rs 1,01,244 on the basis of 2.86 fitment factor. There is also a demand to merge DA with salary.
