8th Pay Commission Salary-Pension Hike: The 8th Pay Commission will submit its report to the central government, after which a decision will be taken on the implementation of the recommendations. If everything happens on time, then by next year the central employees can start getting increased salary.

8th Pay Commission: The central government has approved the formation of the 8th Pay Commission. Due to which the salary and pension of more than 1 crore government employees and pensioners across the country can increase. After this news, many people want to know how much their monthly income will increase under the new salary structure. According to reports, the same calculation formula as the 7th Pay Commission will be adopted to increase the salary, which will benefit employees from level 1 to level 10.

When can the 8th Pay Commission be implemented?

In such a situation, central employees are eagerly waiting for the recommendations of the 8th Pay Commission. After getting approval from the Union Cabinet, it is expected that it will be implemented next year. Currently, the salary of the employees is being given according to the 7th Pay Commission, which was implemented in 2016.

Let us tell you that the basis of the new salary hike will be the Fitment factor, which decides the increase in salary and pension.

What is Fitment Factor?

Fitment factor is a type of multiplier, which is used to increase the basic pay. In the 7th Pay Commission, it was 2.57, due to which the basic salary of Level 1 increased from Rs 7,000 (6th Pay Commission) to Rs 18,000. However, this was not the take-home salary of the employees. After adding Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance and other benefits, the total salary became Rs 36,020.

8th Pay expected to increase fitment factor to 2.86
