Works like Gpay’s payments background feature
The payment background feature of WhatsApp is very similar to the payments background feature of Google Pay. In Gpay, you can add different backgrounds from the option given by the company while sending money. Now you will be able to do similar things on WhatsApp. Notably, the messaging app was the first to launch the payment facility in India in partnership with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). The real-time payment system enables transactions with more than 227 banks.

Users will get many theme options

Similarly, for birthdays, you get to choose from payment backgrounds with cakes and candles. The new feature announced by WhatsApp helps bring to life the story behind every payment.
How to add background in WhatsApp Payments
– Tap on the chat to which you want to send money.
– Enter the amount you want to send to the contact
– Tap on background icon
– Scroll through the available options and tap on the background you want to use.
– To return to your payment message, tap the payment amount, or tap the X to dismiss the background option.
Notably, you can change the amount or enter details even after adding the background. Adding background will not affect your chat.
