Aadhaar 2.0: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is moving towards Aadhaar 2.0. Know what changes will happen in your existing Aadhaar.

New Delhi: Aadhaar 2.0: Aadhar Card has become the most important document inside the country in today’s time. From government schemes to school admission, it is needed. Be it a job or filing an income tax return, without Aadhaar the vehicle cannot move forward. In such a situation, let us tell you that the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is moving one step ahead of Aadhaar and moving towards Aadhaar 2.0.

In fact, recently, UIDAI Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Saurabh Garg had said at the India Digital Conference-2022 that the authority is ready to look into solutions that enable ‘partial verification’ . However, UIDAI is also keen to know the opinion of the industry about such solutions.

Limited information can be sought
He said about partial verification that it is possible that some people only want to confirm the age and they do not intend to get more information than this. He gave another example regarding this that verification can be required only to confirm that a person is a resident of a particular area and not the full address.

Aadhaar will be made more secure
Now Quantum Computing and Blockchain will be used in Aadhaar 2.0. With the help of this, the base will be further secured, so that no dent can be found in it.

Faster in Biometric Matching
Aadhaar 2.0 will ensure faster automated biometric matching solutions. In this, priority will be given to the security of the ecosystem. Decentralization of Aadhaar using blockchain is being considered.

Let us tell you that last year the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology also organized a three-day workshop titled ‘Aadhaar 2.0 – Beginning of a New Era of Digital Identity and Smart Governance’ . In this, the expansion of the use of Aadhaar, the development of Aadhaar as an international digital identity standard and the use of critical technology were discussed.
