You can update address in Aadhaar online sitting at home
You can update it online sitting at home. For this a nominal fee of Rs 50 will have to be paid and your address will be updated. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) provides a variety of services. You can change address, photo, name in Aadhaar. Simply visit the UIDAI website and follow the steps given below.
Follow the steps to update the address
- Visit the official website of UIDAI at myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/.
- Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number to login. After that fill the captcha code and click on send OTP.
- OTP will come on your registered mobile number. Enter it and login.
- Go to Aadhaar Update option in the top menu. After this click on the option of Proceed to Aadhaar update.
- Now on the next page, after selecting the address, click on the option of Proceed to Aadhaar update.
- By doing this, your current address will appear on the screen.
- The option of the address you want to update will come. New address details have to be filled.
- Submit the document, which has your new address.
- You have to click on both the check boxes below and click on Nest.
- Payment option will appear in front of you. You can make payment by UPI net banking or card as you wish.
- You will get a receipt as soon as the payment is completed. After this your Aadhaar will be updated in 2 days.
