Subsidy will be available on 10 thousand cycles
Initially, the benefit of subsidy on 10 thousand cycles will be given by the state government. A detailed guideline will be issued by the government in this regard soon. It was told by a senior official that guidelines related to subsidy on the purchase of e-cycles (E Cycles Subsidy Delhi) will be issued in the coming week.
15,000 subsidy to those who buy e-carts
According to Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot, the first 1,000 buyers of e-cycles will be given an additional subsidy of Rs 2,000 under the Delhi Electric Vehicle (EV) policy. That is, the initial 1,000 buyers will get a subsidy of Rs 7500. The government has also approved a subsidy of Rs 15,000 for the first 5,000 buyers of cargo e-cycles and e-carts for commercial use.
Scheme to promote e-bicycle
Officials said earlier the subsidy was given to individual buyers of e-carts. But now a subsidy of Rs 30,000 will be given to the company or corporate house buying these vehicles. The Delhi government plans to promote e-cycles to help reduce pollution levels. This subsidy will be paid to Delhi residents holding Aadhaar cards.
25 to 30 thousand will be e-cycle
It is believed that the guidelines will be issued soon by the Delhi government, in which the company and their model may be mentioned. According to the guideline, the benefit of subsidy will be available on buying an e-vehicle. According to the guideline, the price of a better quality e-cycle is expected to be between 25 thousand to 30 thousand rupees.
According to the officials, the cost of cargo e-cycle will be 40 thousand to 45 thousand rupees. At the same time, different models of e-cart are available from 90 thousand to 3 lakh rupees. Apart from promoting electric vehicles, the government is also focusing on setting up infrastructure for charging across the city.
