If you want to update any information in your Aadhar card, then you can easily do so now. You can now update information like name, address, date of birth or gender in your Aadhaar card sitting at home. In between UIDAI had stopped this facility and you could only update the address online but now once again this facility has been started.
Aadhaar is a 12 digit unique identification number issued by the Government of India and it is issued on the basis of biometric information of the individual such as iris scan, fingerprint, and demographic information such as DOB and home address etc. Updating Aadhaar is not only beneficial but also necessary for many online services. To avail the online services linked to Aadhaar, you need to first register your mobile number with UIDAI which will be used for authentication through OTP.
