Aadhar card is one of the most important identity documents in India. Aadhar card has become necessary not only for government schemes but also for financial services. It is also linked to bank accounts, vehicles and insurance policies etc.

Most of us had applied for our Aadhar card years back, due to which the picture on the Aadhar card is out of date for some people. Very easy way-
Old or unrecognizable photographs on Aadhar card can now be updated as per your choice through a simple and easy process. Photo can be changed on Aadhaar by visiting Aadhaar Enrollment Center or Aadhaar Seva Kendra. However, Aadhaar enrollment form is required from the website of UIDAI.
Process to change photo in Aadhaar –
>> To change the photo in Aadhaar, first of all download the Aadhaar Enrollment Form or Correction / Update Form by going to the Get Aadhaar section in the official website of UIDAI (uidai.gov.in).
>> Fill this form thoroughly and give it to the executive sitting in the Aadhaar Permanent Enrollment Center.
>> After this now you have to give your biometric details to the executive. If you do not want to download the form, then you will get it at the center also.
>> Thereafter, the employee at the Aadhaar Enrollment Center will click your live picture.
>> For getting the photo changed you have to pay Rs 50 at the center which includes taxes.
>> After payment, you will get an acknowledgment slip, which will contain the Update Request Number (URN). You can check the updated status of Aadhar card using URN.
>> After updating your photo in Aadhar card, you can download Aadhar online only.
While updating the photo on Aadhar card, keep these things in mind-
1. You do not need any document to change the photo on your Aadhar card.
2. You are not required to submit the photo as the executive clicks the photo at the same time using the webcam.
3. It may take up to 90 days for details to be updated in Aadhaar.
4. You can check Aadhaar update status online using the given URN.
