Free Aadhaar Update: UIDAI, the Aadhaar issuing body, advises all Aadhaar holders to update Aadhaar after an interval of 10 years.
Aadhaar card holders can update their demographic details like name, address, date of birth, gender, mobile number, address, email ID.
To update biometric information, you will have to go to the Aadhaar center. To promote Aadhaar update among the people, UIDAI is providing free Aadhaar update facility on 14th December.
Keep in mind that this facility will be available only after updating online. If you update it offline then you will have to pay a fee for it.
For this, first of all visit the official website of UIDAI. Next, login and click on the option to update your name, gender, date of birth. Select the demographic option to change the address.
After this, upload the required documents to update the details. After this, the Request Number (SRN) for updating your Aadhaar will be generated. You will receive an SMS on the registered mobile number.
