For updation of some of the aadhaar card fields, aadhaar card holders will no longer require any documents other than the aadhaar card itself. And this they can carry out by just visiting the nearest Aadhaar card centre or Aadhaar Sewa Kendra.
With this mobile number, e-mail Id, recent photograph, gender, biometrics can be updated in a convenient way. UIDAI, the unique 12-digit Aadhaar issuing body in its latest tweet said no documents shall be required for updation of photograph, biometrics (fingerprint and iris scan), gender, mobile number and email ID in Aadhaar Further you just need to have your aadhaar card copy for the required updation to be made when you visit the Aadhaar Kendra.
Earlier, the UIDAI said for one or multiple field changes in Aadhaar along with change in biometrics, there shall be a charge of Rs. 100. Also, at the same time, UIDAI provided the list of documents that shall qualify as valid proof for updation of name, address and date of birth in Aadhaar.
