Actually, UIDAI, the Aadhaar card issuing agency, takes the user’s details like iris scan, fingerprint and photograph to make the Aadhaar card. This means that Aadhaar card contains the demographic and biometric data of the person.
In such a situation, many scammers try to make fake Aadhaar cards to commit fraud. In many cases, it has been found that fraud has taken place through fake Aadhar cards. In such a situation, UIDAI also provides the facility of verification to the user to identify real and fake Aadhaar card. With this verification, the user can easily identify fake and genuine Aadhaar card.
How to verify Aadhaar with QR code
- User can verify Aadhaar card by QR code and name.
- To verify Aadhaar with QR code, you will have to go to Google Store and install mAadhaar app.
- After opening the app, click on the QR code scanner shown on the screen. You will see this icon on the top right side of the screen.
- Now give access to the mobile camera and then scan the QR code visible on the Aadhaar card, e-Aadhaar or PVC Aadhaar. After this, complete details of Aadhar card will be shown in front of you.
- Aadhaar verification can be done by name also
- To verify Aadhaar card by name, you have to go to UIDAI website.
- After this, you will have to click on registration and fill the enrollment ID.
- Now you have to fill the secure code and then click on check status in the box.
- After this, your Aadhar number or Aadhar card status will be shown on the screen.
