New Delhi: UIDAI has extended the last date for its ‘My Aadhaar Online’ contest. The contest is organised for Aadhaar card holders. The competition is open to all the residents of India and the last date to participate is has been extended from July 8 to July 22, 2019. The contest is open to residents of India only. Non-Aadhaar holders are not eligible to participate. The Finalists will be contacted via email by August 31, 2019.
UIDAI tweeted about last date extension saying, “Thank you for the amazing response to our contest! We are extending the contest last date by 14 days. #MyAadhaarOnline contest now ends at 11:59 pm on 22nd July 2019. If you haven’t already sent your videos, send them now.”
It is worth noting that there are 15 categories of Aadhaar Online Services on which participants can make tutorial videos. The most creative & explanatory videos will have a chance to win a cash prize of up to Rs 30,000.
In order to win the prize, participants have to make a short graphical/animation video tutorial on Aadhaar Online Services including Download Aadhaar, Check Aadhaar generation/ update status, Locate Aadhaar Kendra, Update Address Online, Request for Address Validation Letter, Check online address update status, Aadhaar Update History, Retrieve Lost or Forgotten EID/UID, Order Aadhaar Reprint, Virtual ID (VID) Generator, Lock/Unlock Biometrics, Aadhaar Authentication History, Aadhaar Lock/Unlock, Verify Email/Mobile Number and Verify any Aadhaar online.
According to contest rules, the duration of the videos can be between 30 seconds to up to 120 seconds only. The video shall explain/elaborate the entire process of using any of the listed service (ONLY ONE SERVICE per video) in a way that can be best conveyed to the residents.
The videos may be in the form of graphical or whiteboard animation or any other format (as selected by the participant) having a duration of about 30 seconds to 120 seconds majorly (longer duration of up to two minutes in respect of 4 and 5 above may be required).
Participants can upload the video to YouTube or Google Drive or Online file sharing (e.g. WeTransfer, SendSpace, DropBox, JumpShare, Hightail etc.). Send the video link to UIDAI by email to media.division@uidai.net.in. Video sent via any other medium will not be considered as a valid entry for the contest.
