Aadhar related work of common people can be done sitting at home. Now you will not have to go anywhere to update your mobile number in Aadhar card, correct spelling of name and this work will be done from home itself.
Smartphones will be given to the postman
This service is the second part of a plan under which 1.50 lakh postal officers, postmen, Gramin Dak Sevkari have been covered in this. Smartphones will be given to the postmen for this work. There will be software apps in this, with the help of which the mobile number in the Aadhar card can be updated. For this training of postmen is being given. After taking training, postmen will be able to update Aadhar card from door to door.
Enrollment of children will also be done
The postmen will also do the work of enrollment of children. Those areas will also get service where the services of banks are not available. IPPB is currently providing only mobile update service. It will also start enrollment service of children through its network very soon.
Mobile number must be updated
Now Aadhar card is required for many types of work. Aadhar card number is required for availing any kind of government service, getting a new SIM card, opening a bank account, filing income tax return or withdrawing money from EPF account. Now you can update mobile number in Aadhaar through postman.
