Aadhar Card is one of the most important documents that every Indian citizen should have. Aadhar card is also necessary for opening a bank account, getting a vehicle registration and for home loan.

This is why it is so important to have access to Aadhaar both online and offline. Let us tell you that now you do not have to have a registered phone number to download Aadhaar. UIDAI, the issuing body of Aadhaar, has recently made new changes. After this, it is no longer necessary to have a registered mobile number to download the Aadhar card. So let’s know how you can easily download Aadhaar without registered phone number:

Step-by-Step Process to Download Aadhaar Without Mobile Number
Step 1: Visit the official website of UIDAI.

Step 2: Select ‘My Aadhaar’ option from the home page. You can find it in the drop-down menu in the top-right corner of the page.

Step 3: Once you are on ‘My Aadhaar’, click on the option ‘Order Aadhaar Reprint’ appearing on the screen.

Step 4: Next, enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number or your 16-digit Virtual Identification Number (VID).

Step 5: Once you have completed that process, you will have to enter the security code.

Step 6: You have to click on ‘My mobile number is not registered’ option to download the card without mobile number.

Step 7: Then you have to enter your alternative number or non-registered mobile number.

Step 8: After this you have to click on ‘Send OTP’.

Step 9: Click on the ‘Terms and Conditions’ checkbox and finally, click on ‘Submit’. After verifying the OTP you will be redirected to a new page.

Step 10: After this you will see the screen of ‘Preview Aadhaar Letter’ before Aadhaar reprint. Double check your details. Now you have to select the option to make payment and now you have to submit your digital signature to download the PDF.

Step 11: Finally, a service request number will be received through SMS. You just need to use this number to track the status of your application till the Aadhaar letter is sent.

Another change worth noting is that Aadhaar cardholders who do not have a smartphone or computer can also download Aadhaar card through a simple SMS if they have a registered mobile number.
