Aadhaar photo updated in 90 days: Important news! Change photo in Aadhar card, know how here

You can also change your photo in Aadhar card. This 12-digit card is issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). Its cardholders can do all the updates in it.

If the photo is not printed correctly, then it can be changed.

If your biometric or photo is not printed correctly at the time of enrollment, then you can get it changed. There are some features in this, which you can update online. Mainly name, address, date of birth, age, gender, mobile number and email ID can be updated online.

You have to go to the enrollment center only

For biometric update, you have to visit the enrollment center of Aadhaar itself. Here you can get the biometric information like iris of eye, fingerprints and photograph changed. For this you have to download the form from the UIDAI website. In this, the required column has to be filled and then it has to be submitted at the nearest Aadhaar Enrollment Center.

Information will be verified

The UIDAI official will verify your details and capture a new photo. 100 rupees plus GST will have to be paid for this service. You will have to get an acknowledgment receipt for the update request. You can check the status of update of Aadhar card from the website of UIDAI.

No document needed

Note that you will not need any documents to convert the photo. You will not even have to provide any of your photographs, as Aadhaar officials capture photos on the spot with their cameras. It may take 90 days for it to be updated in Aadhaar. You can check the progress status of Aadhaar update from the receipt of acknowledgment. Self service online mode can be used for demographic update.

e-KYC can also be updated offline

Along with this, you can also update e-KYC offline. UIDAI has launched paperless offline e-KYC. To generate e-KYC, you have to visit this website https://resident.uidai.gov.in/offlineaadhaar . Aadhar number has to be entered here. After that click on send OTP and enter the OTP received. You will be given a four-digit code which will be your e-KYC password. After entering this password you can download the gif file.
