Aadhaar free update last date: Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is providing free service to Aadhaar users to update any information. Free update service is going to end soon.
New Delhi: If there is any change in your Aadhaar card, then do it online now, because at present there is no charge on it. Fees will have to be paid for updating details or uploading documents after 20 days. The Aadhaar Authority has appealed to the people to keep their Aadhaar updated.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is providing free service to Aadhaar users to update any information. The Aadhaar Authority told the users that they must update all the details of their Aadhaar, especially those users whose Aadhaar has completed 10 years and till now the details have not been updated even once.
20 days left to update
The Unique Identification Authority of India has made the service of updating Aadhaar details or documents free of cost on March 14, 2023. The free service will continue till September 14, which has only about 20 days left to end. If you want to update Aadhaar, you can do it now for free. The Aadhaar authority has clarified that the free update service is available only online i.e. on the myAadhaar portal. Whereas, the fee of Rs 50 on physical Aadhaar centers will continue to be applicable as before.
Easy way to change your name, date of birth and address in Aadhaar online
- Login to https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ using your Aadhaar number and enter the One
- Time Password (OTP) sent to the registered mobile number.
- Click on ‘Document Update’ and the details of the Aadhaar user will appear.
- Now verify the details, if correct, click on the next hyper-link.
- Select Proof of Identity and Proof of Address document from the dropdown list.
- Upload copies of the same to update his/her documents.
- The list of updated and acceptable documents is available on the official website of UIDAI.
