Aadhaar Update: District’s e-district manager Vipin Kumar said that at present more than 100 centers are being run in the district at different places including banks, post offices, BSNL offices etc. for making changes in biography or for making new Aadhar card, while 70 such centers are being run through CSC where only changes related to demography can be made.
For any kind of change in Aadhar card, the Unique Identification Authority of India has now kept the change on UIDAI’s website free by payment, while the fee was being charged for the change through biometric.
It is known that the Aadhar card issued to every citizen of the country is notified by a statutory authority Unique Identification Authority of India. In which Aadhar card is used for financial and other subsidies as well as facilities and services.
District’s e-district manager Vipin Kumar said that at present at different places in the district; In which more than hundred centers are being operated at banks, post offices, BSNL offices etc. for making changes in biography or making new Aadhar card, while 70 centers are being operated through CSC, where only changes related to demography can be done, demography means that you can change your email address and address etc. through OTP on mobile number, whereas for changes like photo or mobile number, you will have to go to the center operated as biometric.
He told that till now the update of Aadhar card was done free of cost, in which any citizen can do it by creating a user ID on Aadhar mobile app or UIDAI website. Now this service will be operated with a fee after June 14. Till now, 50 rupees had to be paid to update by going to the Aadhar center. There are different rules in it.
If you make changes related to demography, then a fee of 50 rupees will be charged and for biography in which there is a change in name apart from photo or mobile number, a fee of hundred rupees will be charged for it. If changes are to be made under both the facilities, a one-time fee of Rs 150 will be charged.
