UIDAI and ISRO’s NRSC have entered into an agreement for technical cooperation. As per the agreement, NRSC will develop the ‘Bhuvan-Aadhaar’ portal which will provide the location of Aadhaar card centers across the country.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and the National Remote Sensing Center (NRSC) of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) have entered into an agreement for technical cooperation. As per the agreement, NRSC will develop the ‘Bhuvan-Aadhaar’ portal which will provide the location of Aadhaar card centers across the country.
Apart from this, the portal will also provide information about the destination or location of the respective Aadhaar centers based on the needs of the residents.
An MoU has been signed between UIDAI, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and NRSC for technical cooperation, an official statement said.
The agreement was signed by UIDAI Deputy Director General Shailendra Singh and NRSC Director Prakash Chauhan. Other senior officers of NRSC including the Chief Executive Officer of UIDAI were also present on the occasion.
