You can fix some mistakes of Aadhar card sitting at home, but there are also some mistakes that you will have to go to the public service center to get it rectified.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), which made changes to the Aadhar card, said that there is also a limit for updation in the Aadhar card. Meaning, if there is a mistake in the name, address and mobile number of a card holder, then a limit has been set to get it corrected. Changes in some mistakes can be done by the card holders sitting at home themselves, but for some updates they will have to go to the center itself. Let us tell you that UIDAI also charges some fee from the card holders for making changes in the document.
Know how many times you can change the name?
It has been seen many times here that mistakes are made in the names of people, due to which their work gets interrupted. UIDAI said in an official announcement that a person can get the name mistakes made in the Aadhar card changed only a maximum of two times. One does not need to go to any Aadhaar center to change the name. He can rectify this mistake sitting at home.
Know how many times you can change the date of birth?
If a person has made a mistake in the date of birth, then he can rectify that mistake within a gap of 3 years. Which means if the date of birth in the card is more than 3 years ahead or 3 years behind, then you cannot make any changes in it. The same address error can be changed only once.
Know how many times you can change gender?
If there is a mistake in the gender entered in your Aadhaar card, then you will have to visit the Aadhaar enrollment / updating center to get it updated. Explain that like the date of birth, the cardholder can change the gender only once in the Aadhar card. UIDAI had clarified in the notification published in the year 2019 that cardholders can update the gender in the Aadhaar card only once.
