According to the data released by PFRDA, the number of investors under various schemes under the National Pension System has increased to 422.76 lakh till the end of July. Whereas in July last year, the number of investors was 357.67 lakh. That is, an increase of 23.79 percent has been seen in the number of investors this year as compared to last year.
According to the data released by the press release, there has been an increase of 3.92 percent in the number of pension scheme subscribers coming under the Central Government in the last one year. In July last year, their number was 21.17 lakh, which increased to 22 lakh in July this year. At the same time, the number of pension scheme subscribers under the state government was 48.3 lakh in July last, which has increased by 9.92 percent to 53.10 lakh in this July.
Apart from this, the number of pension scheme subscribers from the corporate sector was 10.25 lakh last year, which has increased by 16.32 percent to 11.90 lakh this year. At the same time, the number of pension scheme subscribers under the All Citizen Sector was 13.30 lakh in July last, which has increased by 34.72 percent to 17.81 lakh in this July.
If we talk about Atal Pension Yojana, then in July last year, the number of people investing under it was 221.42 lakh, in which there has been an increase of 33.24 percent in July this year and this number has now reached 295.02 lakh.
