“Our biggest problem is that even those who are in Kabul cannot leave their homes for the airport without the approval of the Taliban guards,” an official said. He explained that the US Army is in charge of Hamid Karzai Airport, located just 10 km from the Indian embassy. They are also unable to help outside the airport. In such a situation, it has become necessary to face the local guards at every checkpoint.
