Giving this information, the Ministry of Home Affairs said that a new category of electronic visa “e-Emergency X-Misc Visa” is being introduced to approve visa applications in a fast track manner. The government has taken this step two days after the Taliban took over Afghanistan.
Two days ago the Taliban captured Afghanistan and President Ashraf Ghani has left the country and gone to Oman. According to the news agency Reuters, US President Joe Biden said about the crisis in Afghanistan that the fight against terrorism in Afghanistan was America’s goal, not nation building or the establishment of a centralized democracy. At the same time, Russia today said about the Taliban regime that it would be a better system than the Ghani government.
Decision to bring back the ambassador and the entire staff of the embassy
In view of the delicate situation in Afghanistan, the Government of India has decided to bring back the entire staff of the Embassy in Kabul, including the ambassador, immediately. Foreign Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi has given this information. At the same time, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that the current situation in Afghanistan is being continuously monitored. He said that he can understand the concern of those coming back to India, but for this, starting flights from most airports is the biggest challenge. For this, constant talks are being held with all the colleagues.

External Affairs Minister Jaishankar said that there is constant contact with the leaders of Sikh and Hindu community in Kabul. Foreign Ministry spokesman Bagchi said that a special Afghanistan cell has been formed to evacuate Indian nationals from Afghanistan.
