Air India Express becomes the first airline to operate from two airports in NCR
Air India Express has become the first airline in NCR to start operations from both Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) and Hindon Airport (HDO). This expansion will benefit passengers from the northern and eastern areas of Delhi as well as western Uttar Pradesh. Especially passengers from Ghaziabad, Meerut, Noida and areas like Akshardham, Anand Vihar, Chandni Chowk, Indirapuram, ITO, Karol Bagh and Vaishali will be able to travel by air easily. Passengers coming from Bengaluru, Chennai, Goa and Kolkata will now take less time to reach NCR.

The launch of flights from Hindon will further strengthen air connectivity in NCR. This service will complement the existing flights from Indira Gandhi International Airport. The government aims to develop air infrastructure and meet the growing demand for air travel.”
Expansion of Air India Express
Alok Singh, Managing Director, Air India Express said, “Starting operations from Hindon Airport is an important step in our network expansion. This region will provide better facilities to passengers from eastern and northern parts of Delhi-NCR as well as Ghaziabad and Western Uttar Pradesh. As India’s air market is growing, it is becoming common for big cities to have more than one airport, as seen in London, New York and Tokyo. These new services launched from Hindon will strengthen our existing network operated from Indira Gandhi International Airport.”
