Now if you are worried about how much refund you are going to get on cancelling the ticket, then let us tell you how much refund you are going to get on cancelling the flight of Air India, Indigo, Akasa Air and SpiceJet.

Air India Flight Cancellation Charge

Flight cancellation charges are different in Economy, Premium Economy, Business or First Cabin in Air India flights. The flight cancellation charge in Economy value is flat Rs 4000. In Flex this charge is Rs 1000, while in Classic, cancellation charge is Rs 2000 for cancelling flight ticket 3 days before the journey date and Rs 3500 for cancelling flight ticket between 0-3 days.

Air India Flight Cancellation Charge

• In Premium Economy, a flat cancellation charge of Rs. 3500 is levied on cancelling a Classic ticket, Rs. 500 on cancelling a ticket before 3 days in Flex and Rs. 1000 on cancelling a ticket between 0-3 days. In Business Cabin, this cancellation charge ranges from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 8000.
• If instead of cancelling the flight ticket, you do not reach the airport for some reason or do not travel on your ticket, then only the tax money is refunded to you.

IndiGo Flight Cancellation Charge

• In IndiGo, passengers can book flight tickets in Light, Regular, Flexi Plus and Return Fare. In this, if you book a flight ticket up to 4 days before the journey date, you have to pay a cancellation charge of Rs. 1999 on Flexi and around Rs. 3000 in all other categories.
• On the other hand, if IndiGo customers cancel their flight tickets within 0-3 days, they will have to pay a cancellation charge of Rs 2999 for Flexi Plus, Rs 3500 for Light and Return and Rs 3999 for Regular.

Akasa Air Flight Cancellation Charge

• If your flight ticket is of Akasa Air, then if you cancel your flight ticket 4 days before, you will have to pay a cancellation charge of Rs 2999 or 100 percent airfare (whichever is less).
• If you cancel your flight ticket within 0-3 days of your journey date, you will have to pay a cancellation charge of Rs 3999. If you do not board the flight, you will be charged 100 percent airfare. 

SpiceJet Flight Cancellation Charge

• If you have booked a flight ticket from SpiceJet and your journey date is 7 days ahead, then if the ticket is cancelled within 24 hours, no charge will be levied on you.
• At the same time, if you cancel the flight ticket before 96 hours, you will have to pay a cancellation charge of Rs 3100 and if you cancel the flight ticket within 96 hours, you will have to pay a cancellation charge of Rs 3600.
