About 40,000 seats will be added every year on the Mumbai-Melbourne route, where the Indian community is estimated to be more than 200,000, which is about 40% of the total Indian diaspora in Australia. The new services are aimed at meeting the growing demand to visit friends and relatives, as well as business and leisure travel to the region.

People can travel from 17 cities
Through this new flight, people from 17 cities will be able to reach their destination easily. There will be no need to change flights. The flights on the Mumbai-Melbourne route will be operated by Air India’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, which will have 18 flat beds in business class and 238 spacious seats in economy.
