This increase is expected after the government imposed custom duty on aviation turbine fuel (ATF). This increase can be done till next month’s festive season. Why can increase air fares

According to Sharat Dhal, COO of travel portal Yatra.com, the increase in customs duty on ATF by 5 percent will have a negative impact on airlines. But the good thing for us is that October is the festive season, in which this negative effect can be reduced by increasing the fare. On September 10, SpiceJet chief Ajay Singh had also indicated that fares could be increased in the coming months.
