According to reports, in a notification to travel agents, the airline has said that passengers booking tickets under ‘Economy Comfort’ and ‘Comfort Plus’ fare categories will now be allowed to carry only 15 kg of check-in baggage. .

How to ensure 25 kg luggage limit?
Air India will allow up to 25 kg of hand luggage for passengers who have booked tickets under the ‘Economy Flex’ category. Apart from this, the airline provides some facilities including no-change fees on these tickets. On routes like Delhi-Mumbai, there is a difference of about Rs 1,000 in the fares of Air India’s ‘Comfort Plus’ and ‘Flex’ tickets. But with this higher fare, passengers get benefits like 10 kg additional baggage allowance, more choice of loyalty points and free seats.
Direct flight from Delhi to Zurich from June 16
Air India will start direct flight service from Delhi to Zurich in Switzerland from June 16. With this, Zurich will become the seventh European city to be served by Air India’s direct flight service from India. The flights will operate four days a week – Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Boeing 787 aircraft will be used for the flight. There will be ‘Economy’ and ‘Business’ categories. Currently, Air India operates 60 weekly flights to 6 cities in Europe – Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Milan, Paris and Vienna.
