Airport new rule: AERA has increased the UDF (development fee) for international passengers at this Airport from April 16. There is no change in the fee for domestic passengers.

The Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India (AERA) has approved the increase in the Users Development Fee (UDF) for international passengers at Delhi Airport from April 16, while the fee for domestic passengers will remain unchanged. AERA, in a release on Friday, approved the final fee order for Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) for the period from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2029.

The authority said that it has decided not to make any change in the User Development Fee (UDF) of Rs 129 levied on domestic passengers. The reason for this is that domestic passengers account for 80 percent of the total traffic at this airport. However, under the revised fee structure, international passengers flying in economy class from the airport will have to pay a UDF of Rs 650 while for international passengers landing here, the rate will be Rs 275.

In case of international business class passengers, the UDF will be Rs 810 for boarding passengers and Rs 345 for disembarking passengers respectively, according to a press release.
