Mumbai International Airport Limited said that the flight schedule has already been coordinated in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure normal operations of the airport and better execution of post-monsoon runway maintenance.

A big news is coming for air passengers coming and going from Mumbai, which is called the country’s financial capital. Mumbai Airport will remain closed on Thursday, October 17, so flight operations will also remain closed during this period. Giving information on this on Friday, Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) said that flight operations will be closed for 6 hours on Thursday, October 17 at Mumbai Airport for post-monsoon maintenance work on two cross runways.

Operations will be closed from 11 am to 5 pm on October 17

MIAL said that this scheduled temporary closure is a part of the annual post-monsoon preventive maintenance program of Mumbai Airport and a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) has also been issued 6 months ago in this matter. MIAL said in an official statement, “As part of the comprehensive post-monsoon runway maintenance program at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), the cross runways – RWY 09/27 and RWY 14/32, will be temporarily closed from 11 am to 5 pm on October 17, 2024.”
