Vinay Dube of Akasa Air said – Today we have more than 2000 employees and before the end of the next financial year the company will have more than 3000 employees, out of which 1100 will be pilots and crew members.
Companies of different sectors are doing layoffs all over the world including India. Amidst this environment, India’s airline company Akasa Air has announced large scale hiring. The company will hire around 1000 more employees by March, 2024. With this, its total employee strength will cross 3000.
The company’s head Vinay Dube has given this information. Dube said- Today we have more than 2000 employees and before the end of the next financial year, the company will have more than 3000 employees, out of which 1100 will be pilots and crew members.
Along with this, he also told that the company is continuously expanding its fleet and flight routes. Akasa Air, which started flight service about seven months back, is also planning to start international flight by the end of this year.
What is the plan: Dube, founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Akasa Air, said that the company will order more than 100 aircraft by the end of this year. Akasa Air had ordered 72 Boeing 737 Max aircraft, of which 19 have joined its fleet. The 20th aircraft will be inducted in April, after which the company will be able to fly overseas.
In the next financial year, the company plans to add nine more aircraft to the fleet, taking the total number of aircraft to 28. The company currently operates 110 flights per day.
