Akasa Air’s Passengers: Recently on August 7, Akasa Air’s has started its commercial service. It is being told that the personal information of some passengers of Akasa Airline has been leaked. Under this, a case of leaking of personal information of passengers like their name, gender, their personal e-mail ID and mobile number is coming to the fore.
Akasa gave information to the government
On this matter, Akasa Air’s airline says that the company has handed over the information about this incident to the government. The company has also informed all the passengers booking tickets on its website about this data leak. Akasa Air says that this matter is related to Cyber Security. The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), the nodal agency under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology handling this matter, has been given full details of the matter.

What Happened Leaked
Some Akasa Air registered users’ information with their name, gender, e-mail address and phone number has been seen by unauthorized person. The company says that we can confirm that other than these details, no travel-related information, travel records or payment information has been compromised.
Preventing Un-authorized Access
The company has said in its official statement that it has stopped “un-authorized access” by completely shutting down the system related to data leaks. To deal with this situation in a proper way, after adding additional controls, the login and sign-up services have been resumed. Akasa said that it is working to strengthen its system against such cyber attacks in future.
