DA of BSNL employees has been increased from 159.9 per cent to 170.5 per cent.
The approval has finally been given to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) of the employees of the government telecom company of the country. With this, there is a possibility of getting an increased DA in the salary for the month of September. Along with this, HRA can also get increased. According to media reports, the Finance Ministry has increased the amount of DA from 159.9 percent to 170.5 percent. Due to which now the people working at the board level and below board level posts of BSNL will get DA at this increased rate. This DA has been extended to those employees who are getting salary on the basis of 2007 pay revision. It also includes non-executive employees. Also Read: Alert! Let us inform that in the past, the government had said that there were a total of 1,49,577 employees in BSNL, out of which 78,323 people have retired under VRS. Minister of State for Communications Devusinh Chouhan said that as on January 1, 2020, the total number of employees of BSNL was 1,49,577. Chouhan informed that there is no outstanding amount of payment to be made by the department to BSNL in respect of the employees opting for VRS. The department has paid an amount of Rs 13,542.05 crore to BSNL for the employees opting for VRS. Landline phone increase
At the same time, Chouhan also told that as on March 31, there were 2.17 lakh connections in many states of the country in 2019 which came down to 1.91 lakh in 2020. However, in 2021 it has increased and increased to 2.02 crores. He said that the landline phone connections increased to 2.16 crore as on 31 May 2021.
