Machail Yatra should be conducted on the lines of Amarnath Yatra
On the lines of Amarnath Yatra, the people of Machail village have appealed to run the Machail Yatra as well. All temples have been ordered to be closed due to Corona infection. In some temples, only priests are allowed to worship. The rest of the common people are not allowed to go. Due to this, the temple of the famous Mata Vaishno Devi in Jammu and Kashmir is still closed for devotees and there is no decision on the Amarnath Yatra to be conducted every year, when and how to conduct the yatra. It is only being said that the Amarnath Yatra will be conducted in July.
In view of this, Shri Krishna, Sanjeev Sharma, Rangel Singh, Pahalwan Singh and many other residents of Machail village have sent a memorandum to the Lieutenant and appealed that if a program is planned to run the Amarnath Yatra then for the Machail Yatra to be held in the month of August It should also be considered and gradually the passengers should be allowed to visit the court of Mata Chandi. Mother’s holy stick should also be allowed to come, so that the tradition that has been going on for years may continue.
He said that due to the Machail Yatra, the identity of the people of the area has been established and this is the same way of year-round livelihood of the people from Gulabgarh to Machail. Last year also, the yatra was stopped on August 3 due to the removal of Article 370 as soon as the yatra started, due to which the people of the entire region suffered millions, crores of rupees. Many people lost their belongings, which people tolerated quietly. It was thought that next year the yatra will increase more and there will be business here. But this year everything has come to a standstill because of Corona.
He said that if the government allows this journey to be done thoughtfully and under the law of Kovid-19, then the people of this place will also have a year-round livelihood and the pilgrims who revere Mata Chandi, They can also come here and pray. It becomes difficult to come to this temple after September, as it is sometimes snowing. Therefore, the months of July-August and September are only for the travelers to come here.
